Commentary on colleague’s work

In one of the recent blog by one of my classmates, she criticized our current President and his administration. Even though I agree with her that our President hasn't been doing what he has promised, and the country isn't what it use to be, but we can't blame everything on him. We need to look at the big picture here,  every President before him has left some problems behind for the next guy in office. Some of the problems we are facing right now are dated back for decades.

A country can't growth or become the world leader unless it has a great government system and leader. Our country was the greatest country and the strongest. Even though America is only a few hundred years old, we already surpass many countries that were found thousand of years ago. We developed electricity, automotive car, computer; we even landed on the moon. Our military are the strongest, and our economy was one of the strongest economy. This country was the land  where dream come true. Where people of any races can find hope, freedom, and opportunity, this is what the Founding Father wanted. This is why they fought England, for freedom and opportunity. They had a purpose, and they fought for it putting their life in danger. George Washington, our first President, was considered one of the greatest President. Then there was Lincoln, during the Civil War. What do they have that the other Presidents don't? They have the courage to stand up for what they believe in, and face obstacles face on. They do what is best for the country and the people.

I feel that we can't blame everything went wrong on the President. Sure he's leading the country, but he isn't the one that making all the decision. Our government also have the Senate and the House; they also have a hand in running this country. They are the one that can votes and passes laws that will either help or ruin this country. Our government consist of three different branches if one branch is corrupt everything will go down. And right now the government as a whole is corrupt, no one is doing the thing that will help the country as a whole. The nation isn't run by the President nor the people anymore. Money and corporation run the nation now, and us, the citizens are too comfortable with what we have to do anything about it.
